# Hyjal Terms of Service

> The terms for using Hyjal.

**Effective date:** \[DATE — set when published]
**Operated by:** \[ENTITY — legal name needed]

These are the terms for using Hyjal (the "Service"), a platform where you
deploy WebAssembly (WASM) modules and we run them for you at URLs we host.
Plain language on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask us:
**[support@hyjal.cloud](mailto:support@hyjal.cloud)**.

## 1. What Hyjal is

Hyjal lets you create an account, upload WASM modules, and have them served
over HTTPS at hostnames under our domain (for example
`module--project.hyjal.cloud`). We provide the compute, storage, routing, and
TLS. You provide the modules.

## 2. Your account

* You need a valid email address to sign up. Keep it current — it is how we
  reach you about anything important, including changes to these terms.
* Keep your credentials secret. Activity under your account is your
  responsibility.
* One person or organization per account. Don't share accounts.

## 3. Your content

* **You own your modules.** Uploading a module to Hyjal transfers no
  ownership to us.
* You grant us the license we need to operate the Service: to store your
  module bytes, execute them, cache them, back them up, and serve their
  output over the network. That's it — we don't use your modules for
  anything else.
* You are responsible for what your modules do and serve. Deploy only
  content and code you have the right to deploy.

## 4. Acceptable use

Don't use Hyjal to:

* break the law, or serve content that is illegal where you or we operate;
* distribute malware, run phishing pages, or attack other systems;
* mine cryptocurrency, run denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise abuse
  shared compute;
* infringe other people's intellectual property or privacy;
* resell the Service as-is without an agreement with us.

We may suspend or remove modules that violate this section. Where practical
we will contact you first; for active harm (malware, attacks) we act first
and notify after.

## 5. Payment

* The Service currently has no active charges. Billing is integrated through
  Stripe but **dormant** — you will not be charged today.
* Before any paid plan takes effect, we will tell you the price and you will
  have to opt in. No silent conversions from free to paid.
* When billing is active, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or
  store your full card number.

## 6. Availability, honestly

Hyjal is a small platform run by a small team. We work hard at reliability —
including off-site backups and monitoring — but we do not yet offer a formal
SLA or uptime guarantee. The Service is provided **"as is" and "as
available"**. Don't run something on Hyjal where downtime would cause harm
you can't absorb.

## 7. Ending things

* **You** can stop using Hyjal at any time. Ask us at [support@hyjal.cloud](mailto:support@hyjal.cloud) to
  delete your account, and we will delete your account data and deployed
  modules as described in the Privacy Policy.
* **We** can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. For
  non-emergency issues we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix
  it or export your modules.
* If we ever plan to shut the Service down, we will give at least 30 days'
  notice by email so you can take your modules elsewhere. Your modules are
  standard WASM — there is no lock-in format.

## 8. Liability

To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or
consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at
the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which today is
zero). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be
excluded.

## 9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. For meaningful changes we will email the address
on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use
the Service after that date means you accept the new terms; if you don't,
close your account before the date and nothing new applies to you.

## 10. Governing law

\[JURISDICTION — to be set with ENTITY.]

## 11. Contact

**[support@hyjal.cloud](mailto:support@hyjal.cloud)** — questions, disputes, account requests. We read it.
